Some common error messages you may encounter when using the new Secure Test Browser


A very common warning message is "You cannot log in until the following programs are closed: Application Listed Here (ex: Apple System Settings, Google Chrome, Music, etc.).


When you encounter this warning, exit the secure test browser, and fully quit the application from the menu at the top of your screen. For example, if Chrome is still open, go to Chrome (next to the Apple icon) and select Quit Google Chrome. Make sure the black dot is not appearing under the application under the icon in the icon tray at the bottom of your screen. 


Note: When the Secure Test Browser is opened through the Start Testing icon in Self Service, all of the students' applications should close. 

It's good practice to remind the students to make sure all other applications are already closed BEFORE they launch the Secure Test Browser.


Return to Self Service and select Start Testing again to reopen the Secure Test Browser.
